Gutter Service in Rockingham County, NH

Rockingham County has 37 municipalities, from the I-93 corridor to the Seacoast, and our base in Hampstead sits inside it. The nearest towns are about 5 minutes away by our estimate. Housing, tree cover and water change a lot as you move east, so a gutter that suits an inland subdivision may be the wrong call for a river lot or a coastal Cape.

Rockingham County is not one kind of place, and gutters show it. Inland along I-93 you find subdivisions of colonials from the 1980s. Toward the coast you find salt air, older capes and tighter lots. The county median home was built in 1983, and 78% of homes are owner-occupied (ACS 2020-24).

The housing in the western towns, such as Derry, Salem and Londonderry, is mostly suburban and two stories. Those houses have long straight eaves, many corners and downspouts that were set for the lot as it was graded in the 1980s. Their original gutters are now due.

East toward the coast, lots shrink and houses get older. Salt air is hard on fasteners and finish, and the wind pushes rain sideways into the roof edge. Whatever your town, the first question is the same: where does the roof water go once it leaves the gutter?

Flood years and why downspouts matter here

Federal flood disasters were declared in Rockingham County in May 2006 and April 2007. The Lamprey River flooded Raymond, Epping and Newmarket in those events. Gutters do not stop a river from rising. They do decide whether your own roof adds to the problem, since a downspout that dumps beside a foundation sends water to the wettest spot on the lot.

That is why we look at where each downspout ends, not only at the gutter. In river and pond towns such as Raymond and Fremont, long extensions or a change in outlet location often matter more than a bigger gutter.

Winter on the southern county line

Hampstead gets about 53.8 inches of snow a year (BestPlaces), a fair guide for the inland towns around it. Snow loads the eaves, a warm spell melts it and a cold night refreezes it in the trough. Seams, hangers and fascia take that strain every year, so a fall check pays for itself.

Roads, the courthouse and the coast

Three routes sort the county for us. Interstate 93 carries the busy western edge through Salem, Windham and Londonderry. Route 125 runs south to north through Plaistow, Kingston, Brentwood and Epping. Route 101 crosses east to west, from Raymond through Epping, Brentwood and Exeter to Hampton. Reading a town by its road tells you a lot about its roofs: plazas and big retail along 125 and 93, rural farmhouses with long fascia between them.

The county's whole 18-mile Atlantic shoreline sits in the east, and the county office pages list 36 towns and one city in all. A visit to the far side is a booked trip, not a quick stop, so give us your address first.

Towns we cover from Hampstead

The towns nearest our base are Sandown, Atkinson, Danville, Derry, Kingston and Chester, all within about 10 minutes by our estimate. Salem, Windham, Newton, Raymond, Fremont, Londonderry and Brentwood are a bit further. We have worked in Plaistow and in the Hampstead area, and we cover the rest from the same base.

Farther towns get booked visits, grouped with other work nearby when we can. Brentwood, home of the county courthouse and the county seat since 1997, is a good example of a rural town that is worth planning a trip around.

Gutter questions from Rockingham County

Which Rockingham County towns do you serve for gutter work?

We cover the towns closest to Hampstead first, including Sandown, Atkinson, Plaistow, Danville, Derry, Kingston and Chester, then work outward through Salem, Windham, Londonderry, Raymond, Fremont, Newton and Brentwood. Call with your address and we will tell you plainly how far out it is and how soon a visit can be booked.

Do you work on the Seacoast side of Rockingham County?

Yes, we cover Seacoast towns, but they are a longer trip from Hampstead. Those visits are scheduled ahead, and we group them with other work in the same area where we can. If you are in Portsmouth, Hampton or Rye, tell us when you call and we will set the earliest visit we can.

How do you price a gutter job in Rockingham County?

We price each job after seeing it, in writing, based on linear feet, stories, the number of corners and downspouts, and what is on the roof edge today. Published figures vary widely. One published range for Hampstead installs runs from $421 to $3,599 (Today's Homeowner), which shows how much depends on the house.
